What travelers say
A snapshot of guest ratings and stories behind the stay.
“EXCELLENT Hotel at a great location in La Rochelle. Cécile, the owner / manager runs a really great small hotel, just a few minutes from the harbour and the restaurant area (and she provides a list of great recommendations for restaurants). The bedrooms are very tastefully decorated and comfortable. Breakfast is superb, with lots of special treats, artisan jams, etc. Everything at this hotel has been given a lot of thought. I felt very lucky to have found 'Un Hotel en Ville', and have recommended both the hotel and La Rochelle to many friends since my stay there.”
“One of the most reasonable priced hotels in La Rochelle. Located close to the three towers, harbour and old town. Rooms looked newly renovated, clean and not too small. There is also a free parking lot within walking distance.”
“We stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. The room is clean and bed is comfortable. Cecile made us welcome. Nice location.”
“This chic little hotel in the middle of La Rochelle is very friendly and obliging to its clients wishes. Its situation is such that you can get to all parts of the historic town centre with ease. Cecile has recently taken the hotel over and could not be more helpful to my wife and I in making our holiday stay pefect.”
“We spent three nights in this lovely hotel in the heart of La Rochelle. After a warm welcome from the owner, we checked in in our newly renovated and tastefully decorated room. The bed is really comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, and the atmosphere of the room is just great. The owners were extremely warm-hearted and assisted us in recommending and booking restaurants. Julien was even able to extend the booking of our rental car and his wife Vanessa provided us with tips for our next destinations. A truly unique experience.”
